Larry is an ACBL certified instructor who teaches bridge at the Walnut Creek Senior Center at 1375 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek, 94596. He teaches all four series: Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts and Spades. The classes are on eight consecutive Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Larry Miller started an Intermediate/Novice Wednesday day game March 4, 2009, at the Walnut Creek Senior Center, 1375 Civic Drive, 925-943-5851 that starts at 9:00am. Players may ask questions about bidding to improve their game in a relaxed atmosphere. The game follows a short lesson at 9:10am and players must have an upper limit of 199 master points, to play. Greg and Grant Vance are team-teaching "Defense for Intermediate Players - Part I" on Tuesday nights, 6:45pm at The Bridge Center. The eight week class began in June, 2009 and runs through mid-August. There was too much material to cover in eight weeks, so we decided to break it into two pieces, and will teach Part II after the competion of this series. See the flyer. On Wednesdays, also at 6:45pm at The Bridge Center, beginning July 29, 2009 Greg will be teaching "More Conventions You Should Know". This wil also be an eight week class. See the flyer. The classes are having great turnouts, with many of the same students. returning. On Thursdays, at Pleasant Hill, Grant and Greg are running the under 300mp game.
